Are you a Content Creator that has grown your account to 10k+ on platforms like TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, and Snapchat? Are you always the first one to hop on all of the TikTok trends? Would your dream job be to create content while also strategically marketing client products? 

42 Media Group is looking for a Creative Strategist that specializes in Emerging Platforms (an initial strong focus on TikTok, but also YouTube, Pinterest and Snapchat) to join our Los Angeles team to create brand marketing #sponsored #ad videos for our clients. The ideal candidate is an early-adopter, trend-setter, entrepreneur-at-heart, fueled by a passionate sense of curiosity for ‘why’ video advertisements work and  how social media trends go viral. They will be a rockstar experimenter to ideate and execute on content for these platforms in a strategic way. This is an exciting role for someone who is motivated to see their work’s success ultimately result in building out multiple teams devoted to each platform

42 Media Group’s Performance/Growth Marketing Direct Response team is a performance-first marketing division within a fast-paced, lifestyle content company targeted at the millennial female audience. We use data to make informed decisions around creative video storytelling — rather than having the data work for us. This means we are constantly looking at Facebook and Instagram performance to optimize and streamline creative decisions to give our direct-to-consumer clients the best chance of success in the marketplace to grow their client-base. We never settle for “good enough” and react in real-time to make creative decisions and leverage how the world responds to our creative to make it even better.   

Who You Are:

  • A TikTok trendsetter, someone obsessed with current and emerging viral trends and concepts; a seasoned creator whose content performs well and drives attention whether, for yourself or for an ad partner
  • Someone who is excited about why their creatives perform well or miss the mark; You constantly ideate, produce, and think on how to improve for the next time
  • A storyteller: a content creator who knows how to concept and execute story ideas, especially product unboxings, user-generated content of product testings (UGC), and is familiar with TikTok meme/audio meme fads

Responsibilities

  • Creative Storytelling: Ideate and script your video concepts in a clear voice to tell a specific story about a product to a specific audience; Constantly innovate and iterate on existing video concepts to scale what is working and nix what isn’t
  • Data Analysis: Understand trends in the engagement metrics section of TikTok, YouTube and other platform ads managers to optimize creatives
  • Project management: Work across brands and clients with a team of directors, editors and producers. Able to juggle 5 concepts in pre-production at the same time as 6 other projects in post-production.
  • Win: Make informed decisions to capture an audience and convert them to customers

Qualifications

  • 1+ years directing and/or producing digital content, preferably with familiarity in user-generated content marketing; you have a deep knowledge of what does well on the platform and what doesn’t
  • A portfolio of digital content you have helped create (or created yourself), and the ability to talk about the strategy that informed each piece in the portfolio
  • Professional experience as creative builder and maker of stories
  • Video Production: Shooting and directing the footage for these targeted social media advertisements, using both DSLR and iPhone cameras, particularly in vertical (9:16) for TikTok and Snapchat
  • Combination of excellent conceptual and copywriting skills
  • Able to combine streamlined copywriting and visual narratives into one medium
  • TikTok and YouTube product knowledge preferred, Snapchat and Pinterest a big plus
